Official Rules & Scholarship Test Ranking Calculation logic  

It is advised that each contestant go through Scholarship test rules & Scholarship test ranking calculation method carefully before joining any paid/free Scholarship test on the platform.  

1. Official rules for a Scholarship tests -

   Following rules must be adhered by each player while playing the scholarship test  

   1. Users above 14 years can attempt scholarship test

   2. Each test will start at a specified date & time as mentioned in the upcoming scholarship test card

   3. Each test will have maximum duration till which the scholarship test will be open for all contestants

   4. Each test will feature a number of questions which is mentioned categorically on scholarship test card

   5. Each test will have maximum marks which can be scored by contestants if they have deep knowledge about subject/topic and remain committed to time management

   6. The questions will appear from the list of subjects/topics mentioned in test reference section which has complete list explicitly mentioned

   7. The Questions will appear in the language as mentioned on the scholarship test card. Contestants are free to choose any language of their choice

   8. Each question will appear in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format

   9. The question will appear along with 4 options and only one of the four options will be correct.

   10. All questions will appear on the user’s device screen.

   11. The winners are chosen based on the final marks as mentioned in point 2 (c)

   12. There is no human interference in choosing the winner for a scholarship test, it is based on an AI model.

2. Official Rules for calculating Ranking for a Scholarship tests -

   Following are the list of factors involved for calculating ranking of any scholarship tests

   1. Each question has 3 tags with it

      1. Marks obtained when it is attempted correctly

      2. Marks deducted when it is attempted incorrectly

      3. Marks deducted when it is not attempted by contestants

   2. Time to join the quiz - Each scholarship test has a specified start date & time. Contestants are expected to join the scholarship test at the specified date & time. If a contestant is not able to join at specified time then

      1. Grace period - There is no penalty if the contestant has joined the live scholarship test within 30 seconds after the scholarship test has gone live. E.g. If a scholarship test is expected to start at 9:30:00 PM on 01 Mar 2025, No penalty will be levied to contestants if they start the scholarship test by 9:30:30 PM on 01 Mar 2025. But if they join after 9:30:30 PM on 01 Mar 2025 then penalty will be levied

      2. Penalty calculation logic - Once a contestant has missed grace period for joining the scholarship test, contestant will be penalized for delay in each second. The deduction logic is as follows

         Penalty levied =

         (( Contestant test started time) - (test start time+grace period)) * Max Marks

         Max Duration ( Seconds )

         Contestant test started time = Time at which player has started contest once test is live

         
         

         test start time = Time at which test has started  

         
         

         Grace period = duration till which no penalty is levied

         
         

         Max marks = Maximum marks one can achieve in a test  

         
         

         Max duration = Maximum time allowed for test

         Suppose if a test
         

         1. is starting at 9:30:00 PM on 01 Mar 2025

         2. is of Max duration i.e. 30 mins

         3. is of Max marks 45

         4. Grace Period : 30 seconds post test has started

         Now if Contestant has joined the contest at 9:30:45. s/he has joined the test 15 seconds post grace period is over hence penalty calculated will be

         Penalty Marks =

         ( 9:15:45 - 9:15:30) * 45

         1800

         = 0.375 Marks

   3. Final marks calculator for each contestant -
      

      Final marks =

      Marks obtained for correct attempt - Marks deducted for incorrect attempt - Marks deducted for not attempting any question - Penalty levied

   4. Ranking for the scholarship test - Final ranking will be published based on Final marks obtained by the candidates and it will be descending order.

   5. Scholarship Winning amount distribution - Based on contestant ranking, contestants will be awarded scholarship winnings amount which will be credited to their Qompass wallet balance.
